Interest rate or adjusment standard that determines the changes in monthly payments for an adjustable rate loan.

Infiltration

The passing of air from indoors to outdoors and vice versa. Typically used when describing the draft from cracks, seams or holes in homes and buildings.

Insulating Glass

Often in doors and windows, double glass uses two panes of glass with a sealed air space between.

Insulation

A material high in resistance to heat transmission that is placed in walls, ceilings and floors to reduce the rate of heat flow outside the home.

Interior Architectural Detailing

Similar to the architectural plans, these blue prints include interior details such as special trim or ceilings, niches, decorative tile, built-ins, etc. Often these plans are drawn up by an interior designer and architect.

Irrigation

A sprinkler system used to water the lawn.
